Description farmhouse (mas) for holidays in Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde in the Bouches-du-Rhône with pool

The farmhouse offers a typically Provençal interior, simple and rustic, very quiet setting in a privileged environment at only 8 km from the historic center of Aix en Provence. 

With a living surface of +/- 180 m², the farmhouse offers:

On the ground floor:

  • Entrance with WC and staircase.
  • Provencal kitchen with 3 ceramic hobs, electric oven and microwave, large fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher. Nespresso toaster, kettle and coffee maker. Access to the glazed veranda.
  • Laundry room with washing machine, ironing facilities and access to the clothes line in the garden.
  • Living / Dining room with table and 8 chairs, 2 sofas, coffee table, TV (flat screen), WIFI internet. French windows open onto the terrace.

First floor (each bedroom has a fan) :

  • Bedroom 1 (children's bedroom): Accessible by a very low door, this bedroom is located under the roof (low ceiling height) and is therefore only suitable for children / teenagers. 2 Single beds (2 x 90 cm wide), TV.
  • Bedroom 2: Double bed (140 cm wide), closet. Pool view and view on the Sainte Victoire Mountain.
  • Bedroom 3: Double bed (160 cm wide), closet. Pool view and view on the Sainte Victoire Mountain.
  • Bedroom 4: Double bed (140 cm wide), closet. Pool view and view on the Sainte Victoire Mountain.
  • Small bathroom with shower and washbasin, WC.
  • Bathroom with bath, bidet and double washbasin.

Attention :

  • Several upstairs windows (in 2 of the 3 double bedrooms + in particular in the children's bedroom) are very low, and without railings (only secured by a bar). Special vigilance is necessary with young children .


  • Land of more than 5000 m², fenced, electric entrance gate, wooded land with shaded areas. Main access through the electric entrance gate. A second entrance with a manual gate can be used for low cars.
  • Cars can easily park on the grounds.
  • Partly shaded terrace with 1 table (8 people) with 2 benches and 2 chairs. Plancha (gas). Parasol.
  • Swimming pool: 8m80 x 4m20. Depth 1.50m with stairs. The swimming pool is secured by an alarm. 6 Sun loungers. Beautiful view at the countryside.

Geographic setting

The farmhouse is located in a small hamlet with several houses, all built on large grounds, in an environment surrounded by nature, very quiet, just 8 km from the historic city of Aix en Provence. The nearest shops are in Vauvenargues (6 km) or at the entrance to Aix en Provence. From the portal of the house, you have direct access to the woods.

Within 2 km you can access the path allowing you to climb to the top of Sainte-Victoire and see the Bimont Dam.

At 6 km, the typical village of Vauvenargues, with its castle still owned by the Picasso family.

In the municipalities of Saint-Marc Jaumegarde and Vauvenargues, less than 5 minutes by car, there are 5 restaurants and a hotel.

The Proxibus (11 places) runs regularly in the immediate vicinity of the house and can take you to the center of Aix-en-Provence - also in July and August - to avoid having to park there.

Possibility to book a tennis court about 2 km away in St Marc Jaumegarde, with a fixed price of 40 Euros / week (information and reservation on site).

Reviews  : Mas très agréable et bien équipé. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine et le grand parc. Secteur très calme, avec vue sur la montagne Ste Victoire de la fenêtre de la chambre. Aix en Provence à environ 15' en voiture. Les propriétaires qui habitent à coté nous ont très bien accueillis. Très disponibles et réactifs tout en restant discrets, bref la grande classe. Sincèrement. Toutes les conditions sont réunies pour passer un très agréable séjour.
