Description farmhouse (mas) for holidays in Cabrières-d'Aigues in the Vaucluse with pool

This farmhouse at an exceptional location in the countryside, very quiet with beautiful views at the vineyards, olive trees and lavender that are part of the property. The farmhouse offers 3 double bedrooms each with private bathroom. A 4th double bedroom + additional children's bedroom (sofabed) with bathroom / hammam is located in the extension of the farmhouse together with the large lounge / bar / summer dining room opening directly to garden and pool.

At +/- 250 m², the farmhouse offers:

Ground floor:

  • Entrance through the kitchen: "La Cornue" gas cooker with 5 burners, simmer, 1 electric oven. Fireplace, stone sink, filter coffee maker, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, 2 closets with crockery and all cooking utensils. Large dining table with 8 chairs. French window opening to the terrace under the arbor (wisteria) with table and 8 chairs.
  • Back kitchen with fridge / freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and sink.
  • WC.
  • Living room: 2 sofas (2 places and 3 places) 2 armchairs, coffee table, TV, DVD player. Internet WIFI.
  • Office: Office, library with DVDs, books. French window opening to garden and pool. A charming stone porch (covered passage by the outside) leads in two steps to the extension of the farmhouse.

On the first floor of the farmhouse (accessible by a spiral staircase with ramp):

  • Bedroom 1: Master bedroom: Double bed (180 x 200 cm). 1 Closet / wardrobe, chest of drawers. A door opens to the garden level behind the house. Large ensuite bathroom (separated by a door): Corner bath, walk-in shower, double sink, WC. Closet and wardrobe.
  • Bedroom 2: Double bed (140 cm wide), chest of drawers, wardrobe / cupboard. Ensuite bathroom open to the bedroom: Bathtub on feet with shower, washbasin and WC.
  • Bedroom 3: Double bed (160 cm wide), small dressing area / wardrobe, desk. Ensuite bathroom open to the bedroom with walk-in shower, washbasin and WC.

The extension of the farmhouse:

The extension of the farmhouse on the ground floor is directly accessible from the outside and from the farmhouse by a small passage under a beautiful stone porch that connects the two parts (in 2 steps):

  • Entrance
  • Bathroom with washbasin, WC and Hammam with shower.

Then follow 4 rooms in a row:

  • Small living room: with sofa bed (possible to sleep 2 children).
  • Bedroom 4: Double bedroom with double bed (160 cm wide), wardrobe, piano, desk.
  • Summer dining room: Table and 8 chairs, fireplace, a French window opens to the pool.
  • Large summer lounge: Corner sofa (6 seats), 2 armchairs, coffee table, fireplace, table football. Bar with sink (cold / hot water), 4 bar stools. Fridge with freezer, dishwasher and dishes. 2 large French windows open to the pool.
  • WC with washbasin and dressing room to change (pool).

Outside:

  • Property (not fenced) of 7 ha with vineyards, olive trees and lavender.
  • Private parking on the grounds (4 cars).
  • Shaded terrace (arbor with wisteria) in front of the farmhouse with table and 8 chairs.
  • Private heated pool. Pool size: 12 m x 4 m (with stairs). Pool depth 1m20 - 1m70. The pool is secured by a bar cover (manual unwinding). Lawn around the pool, 4 sunbeds, 4 deck chairs.
  • Garden with olive trees in front of the summer lounge, table and chairs for your dinners at the pool. Barbecue (mobile).
  • Ping-pong table and pétanque pitch.
  • Outdoor shower (cold water).

Attention:

  • The extension of the farmhouse is built against the hill, climbing up the land it is possible to access the flat green roof, unsecured at the edge. Particular vigilance is required for young children so that they do not explore this roof.
  • The vines in the field are treated (only if needed - about 2 times per month) by a farmer (organic treatment).
  • The house is not connected to city water, it receives water from a deep well (controlled and certified potable).
  • The cat of the owners remains on site (lives outside in summer), you are asked to feed him during your stay (food provided by the owner). This rental is therefore not recommended for people allergic to cats.
