Located in the French Chablais region, on the shores of Lake Geneva, Thonon-les-Bains is a popular spa resort in the Haute-Savoie department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
At an altitude of 431 meters, Thonon-les-Bains is a pretty fishing village with a heritage of perched gardens offering a splendid view of the lake, castles, a church and a basilica. This is the idyllic setting that Thonon-les-Bains offers.
Where to eat in Thonon-les-Bains?
Lovers of fine charcuterie will not forget to try the speciality of Thonon: the atriaux, a charcuterie made from minced meat and pork liver, finely seasoned and wrapped in crépine. The Pormonaise du Chablais, a typical smoked sausage from Haute-Savoie, will also delight gourmets.
